PreTour 2
Cetina River Rafting or River Cruising

Sunday, October 8
9:00am – 4:00pm
Price: $135.00US (either option)

On this tour you will travel down the Cetina River by raft (those less adventurous can explore the river by boat) and experience foamy chutes and pristine, untouched nature which will create an adventure to remember! Nearby the sea coast, only several kilometres in the hinterland, the Cetina River makes its way through the mountains, and its swirling course invites you to discover it. The river flows into Adriatic Sea only 6 km further downstream in Omis, and old picturesque Dalmatian town with a long history and tradition.

Following the river rafting/cruising, the two groups will meet for lunch at the riverside restaurant Kastil Slanica to participate in the preparation of traditional soparnik (spinach pie) and to enjoy local wine. Built on the old walls from the Middle-Ages the tower Slanica is today the monument of the 16th century. Under the rule of Kacic dukes from the 12th till 14th century, Kastil Slanica was a safe refuge for the famous Omiš pirates. After the 14th century, when the strong Turkish force appeared  in the neighbourhood of Omis and Poljica, Slanica became a marketplace. The most common product in trade was salt (salty = slano), so the trade station was named Slanica.

The tour package includes bus transfer, guided boats and lunch.
