Alan Klanac, CEO of Jadrolinija, is delighted to announce Split as this year's destination for the 42nd Annual Interferry Conference.

Split is second largest city in Croatia, the largest coastal city in Croatia, and the largest city in the Dalmatia region. The Port of Split, with its annual traffic of 4 million passengers, is the third busiest port in the Mediterranean and offers regular ferry services with the nearby islands, the north and south Adriatic, Italy and Greece.

This tourist center of the Adriatic coast has a Mediterranean climate, characterized by dry and very hot summers and cool, but moderate and humid winters. Split is an ancient city at 1700 years old but at the same time it is a modern and urban place that combines historical beauty and ambience with modern life and architecture.

The conference hotel and venue is the exceptional five-star resort Le Méridien Lav. Located 8km south in Podstrana, the hotel has an 800-metre long beach line, landscaped gardens and overlooks the city and surrounding islands. It will be a wonderful location for the conference.

Together with the Interferry team we are developing a professional program that addresses the most relevant topics in the global ferry industry. You can also expect outstanding networking and social events that are a hallmark of the Interferry conference.

We look forward to welcoming you to Split and invite you to attend Interferry's 42nd annual conference from October 7–11, 2017.
