Sunday PreTour • Damnern Saduak Floating Market and The Railway Market
The Railway Market spans approximately 100 meters adjacent to the railway station. Vendors deploy parasols or canvas coverings to shield themselves from the sun. These shelters extend into and above the railway tracks where visitors shop. Upon hearing the signal for an oncoming train, vendors promptly retract their parasols and canvas, removing any goods that may impede the train’s passage. Once the train has passed, the market is swiftly restored, with coverings reopened and products returned to their usual positions on the tracks. Our guests will enjoy a freshly prepared fresh fruit smoothie while observing the train transit through the marketplace.
Damnern Saduak Floating Market as one of longest-standing floating markets in Thailand, Damnern Saduak is naturally the most photographed destination in the Kingdom. Unmissable are the signature wooden boats packed to the brim with fresh produce. The best way to experience the floating market is on the water. An exciting long tail boat ride along the nearby canals will take you to the heart of the market, passing boats with vendors selling fruits, food and other commercial wares. There are plenty of bargains to be found.
Lunch will be served at Khum Damnern Restaurant before heading back to Bangkok.
