Mike Corrigan
Mike Corrigan is CEO of Interferry, the trade association that represents the worldwide ferry industry. Mike’s focus leading Interferry is to ensure that it continues to be the voice of the worldwide ferry industry in matters of safety and operational best practices, is the industry’s voice with regulatory agencies such as IMO, and that the trade association’s value continues to grow for existing and new members. Mike brings to his position of CEO of Interferry extensive executive experience in the ferry industry, most recently as the CEO of BC Ferries, one of the world’s largest ferry operators. During Mike’s tenure with BC Ferries, the company became recognized as a world leader in safety and operational excellence, set record earnings levels, invested $2 Billion in ships and terminals, and established itself as an employee-centric company earning top employer recognition.

Johan Roos
Johan Roos is the Executive Director of EU and IMO Affairs for Interferry based in Brussels. Previously he was Director of Sustainability with Stena Rederi AB. He holds a Masters Degree in Environmental Sciences from the University of Gothenburg, Sweden. In the year 2000, Johan left DNV to join Stena Line, the ferry operator, to develop environmental management systems internally. From 2006-2011 he was in charge of sustainability issues for all of Stena’s shipping activities. Johan works in close relation with the European Community Shipowners Association and the International Chamber of Shipping and represents Interferry at the International Maritime Organization.

Shari Corrigan
Shari joined Interferry in January 2016 and is responsible for the administration of finances and membership as well as annual conference planning. Her careers in the US and Canada as an investment professional, economist, teacher and economic developer provide a solid foundation of skills which support Interferry’s mission.
Shari holds a Masters degree in Applied Economics from Western Michigan University (USA) and a Post Degree Diploma in Economic Development from the University of Waterloo (Canada). She is the proud recipient of numerous awards for excellence in teaching both nationally and internationally.

Nicole Bond
Nicole has been an integral member of the Interferry Team since 2016. As the Membership and Conference Manager, she excels in fostering relationships and enhancing retention through her bespoke personal service. Nicole is the primary contact for all conference and membership-related inquiries applying her extensive experience to provide tailored support and engagement.
A native of Vancouver Island, Nicole has gained diverse experience across various sectors of the island’s economy. With a degree in Physical Geography from the University of Victoria, she began her career in the forest industry, where she specialized in forest hydrology at Timberwest/Mosaic, the largest private landowner in the province. Nicole’s entrepreneurial spirit led her to establish BondRidge Events, where she designed and managed a world-class event center. Her expertise in event management is evidenced by her successful delivery of hundreds of weddings, events, and conferences, showcasing her consummate organizational skills. This extensive background in event planning and management seamlessly translates into her current role, where she continues to elevate Interferry’s conferences and member services.

Karen Giffon
Karen, Sponsorship Manager, joined Interferry in 2016 and loves her role with the Interferry family which offers her the ongoing opportunity to be creative, pro-active and solution oriented.
She brings an extensive career background in post-secondary business adult education programming and student co-op/internship coordination and mentorship. Additional experience in government, recreation and non-profit community leadership solidified Karen’s commitment to and belief in the importance of truly listening, responding, and making things happen in a professional and positive manner.
Karen holds a Master’s degree (MA) from Royal Roads University (CAN), Certification in Conflict Resolution-Negotiation/Mediation, and a Certified Program Planner (CPP) designation. Away from the computer, Karen enjoys family and friends, hiking, skiing and spending way too much time on a tennis court.

John Nedwidek
John has worked with Interferry since 2005. With a BED degree from the NCSU School of Design, he brings over 40 years of experience in design and communications to his role as Marketing Manager.
John is responsible for design and management of branding and marketing materials supporting Interferry’s communications plan including Interferry’s two websites; social media, email campaigns and media partnerships; and all conference materials including the conference guide, app, ads and displays. As principal of emdesign his portfolio includes exhibits and environments for Fortune 500 companies; book covers; large format graphics; and publications, as well as the current Interferry logo designed during the transition from IMTA to Interferry. John is a published children’s book author who enjoys typical Pacific Northwest activities including mountain biking and rock climbing.

Jakki Papps
After initially working part-time for Interferry beginning in 2019, Jakki formally joined the team full-time as Business Manager in 2021. As an experienced operations and administrative professional with a background in the retail, transportation and event management industries, Jakki brings a breadth of skills to support all aspects of Interferry’s operation. As Business Manager, Jakki produces the speakers program for each conference as well as supports the CEO in ensuring the achievement of Management Objectives and the organization’s Strategic Objectives.
Jakki holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from Camosun College (CAN) and studied graphic design at Pacific Design Academy (CAN.) Outside of work, Jakki enjoys spending time with her family and dogs, as well as gardening, painting, fishing and writing.

Angie Stanta
Angie has been with Interferry since January 2016. As a CPA with over 25 years of experience, Angie is responsible for ensuring the company adheres to relevant regulations, produces accurate financial records, and prepares and monitors the annual budget for Interferry.
Angie holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology, as well as her Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation. Working throughout northern Canada, Angie was an exploration and mine geologist for 10 years. As her family grew, she transitioned to the accounting field, initially gaining her accounting experience with forestry companies in BC, then moving into small to medium sized businesses as a contract controller.
