The global ferry community will come together in Bangkok, Thailand for Interferry2026 – our 50th annual conference – a milestone gathering celebrating five decades of collaboration, innovation, and progress across the ferry industry.

As we mark this important anniversary, our theme “Stronger Than Ever… Together” reflects the power of shared knowledge, partnerships, and collective action in shaping the future of ferry transportation.

We invite industry leaders, innovators, operators, regulators and suppliers to submit proposals to present at this historic conference.

What are we looking for?

Submissions are welcome across a wide range of topics relevant to the ferry sector, including but not limited to:

• Decarbonization and energy transition
• Safety leadership and operational best practices
• Digitalization and smart ferry operations (including AI and automation)
• Port and infrastructure innovation
• Passenger experience and accessibility
• Workforce development and training
• New vessel design and technology
• Resilience and emergency response

We particularly encourage submissions that showcase collaboration across organizations and regions, reflecting this year’s theme as well as “lessons learned” while implementing new technologies (eg. electrification, AI, customer information systems, safety systems, propulsion, ship design/refit).

Please note that speakers are selected not only based on how well their submission fits into the conference theme, but also the merits of the respective submission and proposed speaker, as well as how educational or entertaining it will be for our delegates. Presentations should focus on educating the audience and avoid any overt sales pitches. Supplier submissions are best received when presenting real world examples of operators utilizing the technology being showcased, and have the best chance of selection when co-presented with an operator.

Note: The presentations from Interferry2025 held in Sorrento are now open to the public. They are an excellent resource for prospective speakers to refer to when selecting a topic and crafting a submission.

Who can submit?

Anyone is welcome to submit if the proposal fits into the theme of the program. Interferry members and conference sponsors will be given first-priority for speaking slots, subject to the merits of their respective submissions.

Furthermore, since Interferry is a not-for-profit organization, selected speakers are responsible for their own conference registration and all associated costs.

How to submit your proposal…

Proposals must be submitted through the form which will go live on this page on April 8, 2026. The Call for Speakers closes on May 1, 2026. Selected speakers will be notified by June 15, 2026.

To be considered to speak at Interferry2026, potential speakers must use the form which will appear below to create your submission and to send your ZIP file.

Upon submission you will receive an automated reply confirming your submission was successful. Within two business days you will receive a direct email from Jakki Corrigan confirming receipt of your submission for consideration.

IMPORTANT: Please ZIP all of the documents listed in the required check list below into one file before sending using the UPLOAD field. There is a 16MB total limit on uploaded files.

How to compress (ZIP) files/folders using Windows:

• Locate the file or folder that you want to zip.

• Press and hold (or right-click) the file or folder, select (or point to) Send to, and then select Compressed (zipped) folder.

A new zipped folder with the same name is created in the same location. To rename it, press and hold (or right-click) the folder, select Rename, and then type the new name.

How to compress (ZIP) files/folders using MacOS:

Right-click on a file/folder and select “Compress [file/folder name]”

or

Select a file/folder and go to the main Finder menu and choose FILE>COMPRESS.

Submissions missing any of the required documents or submissions received via email will not be considered.

Note: Please include the company name and the speakers name in each file name.
