Join us for a tour of Incat’s shipyard.

Technical Tour – Incat Shipyard

As the final event on the conference schedule, this year’s Technical Tour will be one to remember. You will be hosted by Robert, Kim and Craig Clifford as you get an up close look at the inner workings of Incat’s shipyard. You will tour the various aspects of the shipyard from the area where aluminium is cut and prepared for construction, to the pre-fabrication area where vessel modules are constructed, through to the main assembly hall. The tour of the shipyard will include the 130 metre Electric wave-piercing catamaran being built for South American company Buquebus, destined to be the world’s largest zero-emissions lightweight Ro-Pax ferry.

There will also be an opportunity to visit the Tasmanian Fast Ferry Museum which displays the development and history of the early smaller vessels, displays of ship models and materials through to current day production.

After your tour of the facilities you will be treated to an Aussie barbeque lunch. You will be joined by the Incat shipyard staff, giving you an opportunity to meet the workers. What a great way to wrap up the Interferry Conference!

Make sure to watch the invitation video below.

Technical Tour sponsored by Incat and Wärtsilä.
